Adult Workshops
Community Arts Network WA Dance and Music Project with Organik Dance

In February/March 2009 CanWA awarded Organik Dance a community arts grant for a dance and music project. Over a series of five workshops participants improvised with movement and dance under the guidance of skilled choreographer Jess Hall. The workshops were accompanied by highly expert musicians cellist Jen Goldberg, percussionists Jamie David and Danielle Pender, and multi-wind instrumentalist Mark Cain.

Due to the huge success of these workshops a further project is planned for 2010. This will be a dance intensive over three days, again led by choreographer Jess Hall, with dance artist Rebecca Byrne (livingdance.com.au). It will be a creative space in which dance improvisational skills, and intuitive movement will be developed alongside a live musical soundscape. The project will culminate in a public performance the following week.
